Rehabilitation Services gives you the opportunity to forge longer-term relationships with patients and play a profound role in their recovery. It also allows you to expand your skills in a structured, interdisciplinary setting.

University Rehabilitation Center is an acute inpatient adult rehabilitation unit which serves patients who are in need of rehabilitation from strokes, amputations, major multiple traumas, minor brain injuries, arthritis, neurological disorders and other medical conditions that require rehabilitation. The unit’s mission is to promote functional restoration of both physical and psychological well-being, and to achieve the highest level of functional improvement possible within the constraints of resources available to the patient.

In this position, you’ll work closely with a wide range of professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietician, social workers and case managers. The center devotes a large amount of time to patient and family teaching, as well as other support for patients and families.
