Magnet Moment

UMHC nurses attended the ANCC Magnet Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky, from Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2009.

Representing UMHC were: Chip Overton (PICU), Tina Higgins (Office of Nursing Excellence), Janet Harris (System Nursing Executive Officer), Amber Arnold (Batson Clinical Director),Guyolyn Ousterhout (Adult Services Clinical Director), Nicole Bailey (MICU), LeAnn Harcharik (Adult Float Pool) and Michelle Burns (Office of Nursing Excellence). Not pictured are: Kim Hoover (Interim Dean of the School of Nursing) and Sheila Keller (Director of Nursing Research).

This conference offers hundreds of opportunities to experience evidence-based training. More than 5,000 nurses attend annually to share and celebrate exemplary nursing practices.
