Kudos & Congratulations
Congratulations to our Nurse Excellence Award Winners
Nurse Excellence Award winners were recently announced during a special ceremony held during Nurses Appreciation Week. The winners received commemorative pins and gift cards and their names have been added to the Nurse Excellence plaque that will hang in the lobby of the new adult hospital. Congratulations to all winners and nominees!

Kudos & congratulations to:
Lee Dawkins graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and will sit for his Critical Care Nurse Practitioner boards.
Sherri Franklin graduated from UMC School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Theta Beta Chapter. Sherri was also the recipient of the Mattie D. Jones Clifton Memorial Scholarship.
Denise Gipson graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and will sit for her Family Nurse Practitioner boards.
Tina Higgins graduated from UMC School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Tina was also the recipient of the Mississippi Hospital Association Nurse Executive Award.
Vicki McNeal, RN in Pediatric Cardiology Department, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from UMC.
Rene' Menogan graduated from UMC School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Nursing Education. She received an academic scholarship from The Oncology Nursing Society, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Theta Beta Chapter.
Michael Parnell graduated from UMC School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). He was also the recipient of The Esevier Graduate Book Award.
Keyshawna Pittman, RNC, recently graduated from the UMC Master's Program.
Jean Smith was promoted to a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Zola Wilson became a RN in April 2007.
