Health & Life Insurance

  • Free group health insurance (for the base plan) for employees working 20+ hours a week. Dependent coverage is also available.

  • State Life Insurance Plan: UMC pays 1/2 premium (2 times employee salary)

Leave/Holidays

Compensation

  • Differential:  paid by percentage of base pay for evening, night and weekend shifts.
  • Differential for ACLS, PALS, and NALS
  • Differential for Specialty Certification

Retirement

  • Employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for the Public Employees Retirement Plan. UMC pays 11.85% of earned compensation.
  • Additional retirement plan options:
    • Tax Sheltered Annuities (403b) and
    • Deferred Compensation Plan (457)

Other benefits:

  • MPACT/MACS College Savings plans available to employees through payroll deductions for dependent's college education
  • Homebuyer’s Assistance Program
